How it differs from a broker demo
Broker demo accounts exist to convert you into a client, so they are usually time-limited, narrow in instruments, and often run on delayed data. They also tend to wipe positions on a schedule, which destroys exactly the long-run record that makes practice useful.
A standalone demo account has no such incentive. Nothing expires, the instrument set is the one you will actually trade, and your history accumulates into something you can learn from. If you later open a broker account, the habits come with you.
No KYC, and why that matters
Because no money and no securities are involved, a demo account needs none of the identity verification a real trading account requires. That removes the days-long wait between deciding to learn and being able to start, which is where most people give up.
Frequently asked questions
Is the demo account really free?

Does it expire?

Will I be asked for KYC or bank details?
No. A demo account holds no money and no securities, so no KYC is required.
Can I add to my virtual balance?
Yes. You can add virtual funds from the Funds screen at any time.
